Overview

The Auction House system is the main way in which items change hands in ArcheAge. It allows players to post almost any non quest item for a price(Copper, Silver, Gold) of their choosing. However, all players can see these auctions and it can become very competitive.

Where do I find it?

Auctionicon

Auctioneers can be located on the map by their icon- a bag surrounded by coins.
They are also often found in hubs with portals to Mirage Island and Warehouse.

Using the Auction House

Buying

As mentioned almost anything can be bought or sold on the Auction House. To find what you want you can navigate either by searching the categories on the left hand side of the "Bid" menu or search more specifically by level requirement, item rarity or name. You can even combine the two.

Once you have found an item that interests you, you can place a bid. If it's the highest at the end of the auction your item will be mailed to you. If not your cash will be refunded. If the seller has allowed it, you can even buy items immediately at a set price higher than the bid price.

Selling

You must have patron status to use the auction house to sell items. You can also buy the auction license from the cash shop. When posting an item on the action house a fee must be payed to the auction house. The price depends on the price/buyout and duration of the posting. If the item did not sell in the selected period the item will be return to the user in a mail, losing the payed fee. If the item did sell the auction house keeps 10% of the sell price but will return the initial fee.
