Cast Time

Cast Time is the term used to describe how long a spell takes to cast. While the amount of time to cast most spells is static, some spells can be modified by other spells, passives, or equipment. Cast time is not to be confused with Cast Speed, which is how fast a player is able to cast a spell. Spells with 0 seconds of cast time are considered instant. Certain spells get longer cast times as they rank up, but more damage to compensate. Occasionally when a player takes damage while casting a spell, the spell will be delayed and take slightly longer to cast.

Non-static/modified Cast Times:

Conversion Shield (Auramancy) removes the cast time of Antithesis (Vitalism) for the duration.

Drop Back (Shadowplay) removes the cast time for Flamebolt (Sorcery), Earthen Grip (Witchcraft), and Sunder Earth (Battlerage) for the duration.

Frigid Tracks (Sorcery) removes the cast time for Freezing Arrow for the duration.

Critical Discord (Songcraft) increases its cast time as it ranks up.

Arc Lightning (Sorcery) increases its cast time as it ranks up.

Antithesis (Vitalism) increases its cast time as it ranks up.

Skewer (Vitalism) increases its cast time as it ranks up.

Missile Rain (Archery) increases its cast time as it ranks up.

Illusion's Favor (Passive, Witchcraft) reduces the cast time of Earthen Grip and Insidious Wisper.
