Community Center

Community Centers are buildings at NPC settlements to which housing zones belong. If you have a house (farms and gardens don't count) in a housing zone you count as resident at the community center covering that housing zone.

Centers have ranks and cycles: At rank 3, you’ll have 7 (15?) days to make use of its resources before the building deteriorates back to rank 1.The cycle doesn’t begin until the community center hits rank 3.

Residency Specials[edit | edit source]

If you are a resident you can

  • help level the community center by daily quests: donate 30 lumber to the community center to receive a Blue Salt Bond, 1 Gilda Star and 500 Vocation Badges
  • craft at the community center specialty workbench special Trade Packages (daily quest to receive a Blue Salt Bond, 1 Gilda Star and 500 Vocation Badges; you do not need to transport it to the Specialty Buyer to count towards Oversea Cargo Pack creation but if you don't bring the pack and just show up you will not receive the price for the pack itself)
  • receive a payout every cycle based on their overall contribution to the community center

Daily quests from the community center manager earn Resident Tokens. Taking them back to the center Community Workbench allows you to increases the center rank. A center starts out as rank 0 and needs 200 contributions to hit rank 1, 300 extra to hit rank 2 and 500 extra to hit rank 3. After 15 days of being rank 3, the Community Center will go back to rank 0. At that point all contributors will receive a fraction of the gold the Community Center made: 5% of all gold earned by ZONE merchants is pooled and divided among all participants. This includes gold spent through community center NPCs for community center benefits. The more contribution a resident has, the larger chunk of the 5% they’ll receive.

The payout is delivered through in-game mail at the close of the cycle. Contribution can be checked at the Residents Board outside the center.

General Features (open to all)[edit | edit source]

They have Crafting Request Stations: a player can load the resources necessary for an item into a Crafting Request (open the Folio with O to select the item) and then place the request with a payment into a Crafting Request Station for player with the necessary Proficiency to craft the item and receive the payment by mail.

In addition a Community Center has perks depending on rank: Some Community Centers (depends on the type) will receive a bonus when they reach rank 2. At rank 3 the Community Center will receive an extra bonus.

A Community Center furthermore has a representative of the Blue Salt Brotherhood who gives daily quests that require you to bring them a certain amount of items (varies by day but is always 20, 60 or 100). These reward you with Blue Salt Bonds, gold and experience. Depending how many items you need to deliver the reward in gold and experience varies: 20 items yield 2.5 gold and 2000 experience, 60 item quests yield 7.5 gold and 3000 experience and 100 items yields 12.5 gold and 5000 experience. One can complete one quest for each material and each amount daily, meaning with the 3 differing item amounts a representative might ask for one could do up to three quests for iron ingots, up to three quests for lumber, etc. for a total of twelve quests at most. Thus one could obtain up to twelve Blue Salt Bonds each day. But since sometimes reps at different locations ask for the same amount of the same material the daily maximum bond number can be less.
